As I wake up each morning I look forward to practice, creating clarity in my mind, moving my body gently and starting my day with a calm mind. I gain a new perspective from what was and move into what is. This daily practice prepares for me the present moment and all that I need to embrace. Without practice, I become easily overwhelmed with all that has to be done and I get caught up in the stress connected to those tasks. When practicing, my body has a sense of relaxation, which in turn calms the mind. When our mind is calm, we can approach anything from a centered place and make clear decisions.

Welcome to the World of Tai Chi (Taijiquan)! Welcome to the World of getting Healthy! The beauty of learning a practice in Tai Chi is that you can go anywhere and do it! You do not need special equipment – just loose clothing, supportive shoes (if you choose to wear shoes) and practice space…………….

For the next 30 days, I thought I would keep a practice log………….reflecting both the challenges and benefits of my practice.
